This documentary was produced by four graduates of BCIT Journalism as part of their diploma program. The documentary explores the history of Indigenous basketball through the perspective of a mother and daughter participating in this year’s Junior All Native Tournament.

The gym hums with energy, and at 24, Alianna Chippeway steps onto the court not only as an all-star junior basketball athlete but as a representative of something far greater. 

For Alianna, every dribble and every shot is more than a play; it’s a connection to her community, her identity, and the legacy she’s learning to carry forward.
